January has been a busy month for us at Bumper, and especially so for our Engineering team. Here’s the latest technical updates covering the progress and developments of our Web2, Web3 and Simulation teams.
We're going to provide more regular updates on tech progress going forward, so do make sure you're following us on Twitter and have joined our Discord server for latest updates.
- We’ve recently onboarded a new team member to the Web2 team to assist in remodelling the Bumper dApp. In addition, we’ve prepared a detailed technical plan for improving the overall quality of the dApp’s codebase, and ensuring its readiness for integration with the protocols backend functions.
- The Web3 team has been focused on state updates for the deposit/protect workflow and implementing cross-side rebalancing in the solidity contracts to estimate the gas usage for the regular rebalancing of Bumper’s quadrature of pools. We’re also developing the infrastructure blueprint for the deployment of the protocol’s backend services.
- The Sim team have been conducting a wide range of experiments to backtest the protocol on different market conditions over a 4-year historical timeframe, and perform parameterisation tests. A review of network fees have been performed, alongside a range of economic experiments to optimise the code.
- The team is also working to reduce the post-processing time for the simulation and producing visualisation models to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the simulation to help us improve internal decision-making and planning.
