‍We are creating a protocol that will allow any user to protect the underlying value of their crypto asset against all kinds of volatility levels. We call it “God-Mode for Crypto”! The scope of the protocol will reach all corners of the user landscape, from retail to degens to institutional. Already, the simulations are proving radically cheaper and more efficient than traditional options instruments.

Role Overview

‍Bumper is looking for a crypto and DeFi obsessive Head of Business Development to join our growing company as we prepare to launch our fully-funded and radically innovative DeFi protocol.

To achieve our goals, we’re looking for a Head of Business Development to lead the go-to-market partnerships and integrations with liquidity providers, market makers, exchanges, and investors. 

Your main task will be to use your intimate knowledge of DeFi, and extensive network, to bootstrap rapid development and growth. You’ll be mapping the Crypto, and specifically the DeFi, ecosystems, while identifying the key opportunities for Bumper, and then building on those partnerships in conjunction with our Operations and Technical Development teams.

Every day is different and brings new problems and challenges to solve. To succeed in this role you will: 

  • Define Bumper's global Business Development, strategic partnership and drive execution to take us from 0 to $1B TVL.
  • Identify and execute the path that will take Bumper from early adopters to institutions and mainstream user bases.
  • Critically assess emerging DeFi trends, instruments and structured products that would benefit from Bumpered assets and identify these vertical markets. 
  • Pitch integrations with DeFi vertical markets, including commissions modelling, setting out commercial revenue share parameters, exclusivity, contracts, tech de-briefs and general oversight.
  • Seek and agree partnerships with liquidity providers, exchanges, market makers, and other DeFi protocols.
  • Give feedback and advise the Marketing team as we work through the go-to-market strategy.
  • Proactively think about how the product offering can develop and work with the Product Team to ensure we’re building solutions to solve real problems, and developing towards those emerging markets and trends.
  • Manage and aid the development of the business and aiding the development of the business with well-set KPIs and OKRs.
  • Be able to spot emerging trends and products early, and identify key opportunities for Bumper.
  • Formulate and initiate go-to-market strategies that will translate in structuring highly valuable relationships, negotiating advantageous terms, and delivering impactful results.
  • Grow a quality-filled pipeline of future business opportunities that build upon new and existing partnerships.
  • Craft high-priority, bespoke relationships to advance Bumper's strategic interests, improve customer experience and accountability for revenue acceleration.

You’ll have:

  • Experience as a Business Development leader at a leading Crypto / DeFi business.
  • DeFi degen traits with a constant finger on the Defi pulse.
  • A deep understanding of the crypto market, backed with previous professional experience in a DeFi company.
  • Min. 2-5 years of experience working for start-ups and/or scale-ups as a Business Development team member or consultant.
  • Experience in building new businesses. Bonus points if you have an extensive network of professionals and partnerships that may be good fits for the Bumper proposition.
  • Analytical approach to the new and flashy - being able to spot the really good deal early on is crucial.
  • A deep passion for crypto and the economic freedom it can offer. Our mission is to create an open financial system for the world and we want you to help.
